About The Job We are looking for a self-motivated & service-oriented Sales Engineer candidate to help expand our channel business footprint, onboard new product principals, and to be responsible as the expert for leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective and existing clients while ensuring customer satisfaction. This ideal candidate will partner with Channel Sales Manager to find, contact, and follow-up with prospective clients and support existing customers. Once they discover the client's needs, they will discuss our product's technological capabilities and business value with the client. The ideal candidate should be able to clearly articulate highly technical concepts to all prospective clients. Responsibilities • Partner with the sales team to generate leads. • Find and maintain prospective clients. • Clearly present & articulate product/service features and benefits to to existing and new clients via meeting, training, workshop, and webinar. • Provide general technical support to clients. • Coordinate with vendor team and provide the resolution to client's inquiries & problems. • Identify client needs and support with product demo & recommendations. • Architect and design solutions, craft out bill of materials (BOM), prepare quotation, conduct proof of concept (POC), and support deployment if needed. Qualifications • Ability to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and written communication skills. • Ability to persuade others via presentation, demonstration, and written communication. • Displays effective listening skills and good sense-making ability. • Pays attention to detail, has strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Fluency in English is a must. Proficiency in other languages / dialects will be an added advantage. • At least 2 years of presales / sales engineering / support experience in networking, enterprise data storage, IoT, or relevant field. • Prior experience in B2B sales from distributor background will be viewed favorably. • Tertiary education, preferably a diploma or above in Infocomm Technology, Network Engineering, or any other related field. Leveraging on the existing partner network and to expand it further, we are looking for an experienced person to: Answer Customer Questions • Serve as the first point of contact for answering customer questions through chats, email, or phone calls. • Understand customer's needs and provide additional information, e.g. datasheet, user guide, list price. • Help resolve simple customer queries/problems to enhance customer satisfaction. Escalate Customer Issues • Identify area of customer query/issue and redirect customer to the appropriate team or department if necessary. • Coordinate with internal team to address to customer’s concern. • Pass on any feedback or suggestion by customer to the corresponding internal team. Provide General Customer Support • Process order and update customer on delivery date. • Work closely with Finance & customer to ensure timely payment collection. • Coordinate with warehouse & logistics to ensure goods delivery to / pick-up from customer. Update Customer Records • Update CRM with detailed information of existing, new, and potential customers. • Follow-up and update customer status, events, queries, or problems after each interaction. Assist Frontline Team • Keep up with product updates & service information. Stay informed about competing products & services. • Prepare simple or recurring quotation to boost performance in response time. • Follow up on leads / issues and setup appointment for sales / support. • Able to upsell products and services will be a plus. General Administration • Other ad hoc duties as assigned
